"Oh, Hi Paul!”

Good morning Muggles! Amidst the rigors of a Gaffney Week 4, I think we deserve a breather. I expect this will be Week 2 in difficulty. (Edit: Apparently I was wrong!)

The meta answer is a Paul Simon song that would make a good fourth theme entry.

Submit answer by PM or on Crosshare by Saturday at 10pm EST.
Randomly drawn winner will receive a Biloxi lapel pin and a $20 donation to Catholic Charities.

Dr. Pepper nudges released on Wednesday.
Hope to see you off the couch soon!

Edit: Title change - thanks @Hector
Edit: A little more help on the prompt - thanks @Joe Ross

Um, I got the meta, and I don’t know why it’s the answer. Some backsolving is in order.
A fellow Muggle found the path! I cannot comment, but the cabana boy thinks I look a bit stressed.

Monday afternoon leaderboard

1. Hector
2. Meg
3. boharr

Good thing this was a Week 2 ;)
Since a few people have inquired, the title was changed to avoid undue misdirection. So treat the new title as if the old one never existed.

Easy for you to say! The original title is stuck in my head now … I was thinking it was the hint to solve the meta! Now, I’m back to square one! 😜

The jury will disregard the first title!
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

Based on the second title I guessed the answer but, like Meg, I have no idea how to get to it. I don’t believe that this is a week two.

Off the couch. I got up, kicked it, and it went flying. Maybe when I'm falling asleep I'll know why. If not I can always wait for the nudges on Weds.

(I am curious what the first title was.)
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

Off the couch! But like others, not completely sure that I "got" it... It's either almost too easy, or beyond my comprehension :-)

Edit: Indeed, there was one aspect that I failed to pick up on. Clever!

For those with correct answers but still "unsure", the Crosshare comments will be instructive.

Same - still noodling it, but I had been working with the original title as the starting point in solving. ALSO - for those working from the original version, I don't think it's been mentioned here, but the contest prompt was amended a bit since (orig: "The meta answer is a Paul Simon song"). Don't know if it's a meaningful change, but pointing out just in case anyone's sitting on the old version

Loved the puzzle and love the song! (Of course, it's Paul Simon, so come on!)

Off the couch - only figuratively, of course. Still on literally, since I now have to get to final answer with Mikey's.

Thanks for the puzzle!

I think I'm off the couch. Awaiting confirmation.

Edit: no I'm not. And since I am out of meta-solving juice, here I will stay.

2nd edit: a couple of nudges got me off the couch in the end. Thanks, @Abide!

Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Ahhh, didn’t see the change to the meta answer! Thank you for pointing it out! Back to solving! 😂

Ah so with the new prompt, it changes what I'm looking at/for.
