Gah. Me three. I'm probably the one who jinxed it - I normally have an online bridge game Friday noonish, but that got canceled so I figured I'd have all afternoon to work on ithcbirker wrote: Fri Apr 29, 2022 10:58 amMe too Bob! And the worst thing for me is I had time to work on it today, but no time tomorrow. @Al Sisti How did you know that? I did not see it etched on the bar at the UC brewery?Al Sisti wrote: Fri Apr 29, 2022 11:50 am Bet you thought (hoped) I could make it through a puzzle without noting a Utica connection. Well, not this one. The eponymous composer of 1A was from Utica.

I do not seem to be hearing the music today. I see something, but it's not leading anywhere. Isaac, I'll have another while I stare at the grid helplessly.

Grid was a bit tougher than usual for me, but eventually got it filled out and see a few far-fetched holes to root out. Perhaps listening to podcasts instead of music is throwing me off.
See you at 4:30 EST, Wendy.

We're on the ship and playing 1 across with this one. I can't even find a few fun rabbit holes to pursue.....

If you're with Isaac, I know how rotten it feels to be stuck on board when all those other Muggles are stepping easily ashore. I feel so badly for you that I think I'll take an adjoining stool.
Ahoy, Isaac!
Ahoy, Isaac!
For nudges, feel free to PM me. I won't have a clue how to help you, but you might shove me ashore.

Count me on the ship with Isaac for now with the smaller crowd. Perhaps we can pull our heads and drinks together... need some inspiration!

I'll see you all at 4:30 (if I figure it out before then, I'll be a much happier member of Zoom crew).
Happy to give nudges. If you notice I've solved, please tell me about avenues you've explored so I can nudge you in the right direction and not off a cliff.
