Ashore! I wandered around the fullness of this one for a while…an excellent puzzle!

Week 5 MGWCC on tap! (EDIT: Not so fast, my friends! Delayed until 3 pm ET tomorrow (Saturday). I guess I jinxed it!)

Ashore after many weeks at sea. It’s a real confidence boost to get back on shore, knowing I still retain enough mental acuity to solve one of these!

On shore. Nice to start a new streak. But of course I said that two weeks ago.

Ashore overnight.
Kudus to Mike again from all the Musical Muggles.
I had a difficult time with the meta at first, but feeling mellow now. That reminds me… Back in H.S. I played the mellophone in our marching band-

I loved and hated that book. Sent me into depression during high school...
"Depressing" is my favorite book genre, so I just downloaded it to my Kindle. Everyone, feel free to let me know your favorite traumatizing books.

Edited to add: anything goes except hurt or dying animals, please :-)

WAIT!!! - I got the WSJ and was frothing at the mouth for the Week 5 to keep the momentum going. But alas and alack, it has been delayed until 3 PM on SATURDAY - bummer.

I was on completely the wrong track thanks to the utterly convincing red herring I found in the clues. Peter, I now understand how you felt last week when I told you that the years in the Daytona puzzle were irrelevant. Thanks to our Cruise Director and Heidi for setting me straight! I am on shore but of course not submitting. With the Gaffney puzzle being delayed, I'd be happy to "pay it forward" at 4:30 today (that's 4:30 East Coast time).

Me too Bob! And the worst thing for me is I had time to work on it today, but no time tomorrow. Oh well.

I am relieved for the delay, though I don’t know why - I haven’t solved a puzzle in days, including the WSJ, and I have no hope of solving the week 5. Still, if you can’t fool yourself, who can you fool? I’ll pretend like this opportunity gives me the chance to solve…some puzzle…there are a lot for me to choose from.

Same with me. I won’t even be able to look at it before Sunday.

Good Friday morning muggles

First thanks to @Wendy Walker for opening up the topic this month. As always her support is appreciated

And we have our newest muggle - straggler

So far we have 3 on the ship, 60 on the shore and many more digging rabbit holes.

Good luck with the meta and the grid

Count me on the ship with Isaac! Just not seeing it...... (hoping *this* works and the Meta-gods will part the clouds when I look again! hee-hee)

Bet you thought (hoped) I could make it through a puzzle without noting a Utica connection. Well, not this one. The eponymous composer of 1A was from Utica.
