Washed out to the shipping lane but found my way
in and now quite dehydrated. I’ll save the Pappy for the next Shenk solve and go for a nip of Col Blanton’s. It is after all only 9am.

Rare chance to sit down and enjoy a Saturday morning solving a meta. Quite a delightful trip, I must say. Enjoyed the satisfying click upon the solve. Kudos to Mr. Shenk for a very clever puzzle.

Ashore! Beer me please!

I am with Isaac — the one in the dunce cap — although I’m easy to find because there are so few of us here.

Although I do enjoy a Friday solve (when I have time to look at it before the weekend), I am in the camp of enjoying a last minute solve even more. I wish I could say that I’m trying to savor the solve but truthfully, I just don’t see it.

Everyone in this group is so fantastically cheerful and helpful, I can't help but be reminded of this VW commercial. Perhaps we should adopt the song, Get Happy, as our own!

I have found out that my preferred answer is wrong, and I'm being put on a tender heading back to the ship --

"What's that you say? An interloper on the island? Here under false pretenses?"
Called into action, "Back to the Ship 4 U"

As @Joe Ross noted:
I was more worried that you were going to play sea-monitor & drag meta-scofflaws back to the boat!

Wonder if Mike Shenk thought about making this one a Marie Kelly special for Saint Patrick’s Day.
@michaelm We should find someone with the real name of Marie Kelly and have her submit a meta to the WSJ.

I am ashore! What a fun puzzle. I guess all I needed was a cup of coffee to get me thinking straight.

Stay well all
Yikes! I hope that fish aren't becoming super-spreaders! Don't swim to shore, folks! :)

I've gotten as far as figuring out a key thing, but it hasn't told me quite enough. Alas.

Still swimming. Somewhere.
