Well I’m here visiting Indianapolis to watch my son swim in the NCAA champs and also enjoying seeing the hordes of fans for the more popular NCAA event playing games here in the city. As for the puzzle I’ll be keeping Isaac company for a while. I have nothing.

I'm not a WSJ subscriber and this morning I was blocked from accessing my partially completed puzzle. I cleared the cookies and it was fine, but now I'm blocked again. Did I miss an announcement that puzzles are subscriber only?

And if that's the case, I realize I can use the PDF from Joe, but are we eligible to enter the contest or will that be subscriber only?

I hope you'll either share that rabbit hole with us after the deadline or implement it in a meta of your own. (Sez the muggle who couldn't construct a puzzle if her life depended on it.)

I’m not a subscriber and I had no problem. Maybe try a different browser?

Well I brought COVID back with me from my fishing trip so I will put on a mask and isolate on some deserted part of the beach. So even if you can’t seem me you can count me ashore (and probably hear me coughing)

Stay well all

Fortunately I've made my copy to work on for this week so I have a few days to figure it out for next week. I run an older version of Firefox for various reasons and sometimes updates on websites will break the functionality and I move it to Chrome.

Rare that he was able to help you? :)
Yes! (And he will admit to that.) Actually, I just asked him a question and his answer was the answer!

Ashore! Took me a bit and not 100%, but it's gotta be right given all the clues. I'll be having a Bloody Maria.

Omigosh! Finally saw the light on this one... count me ashore.

Babysitting grandkids so I'll just have water on ice.

Happy weekend all!

Ashore.

Parenthetically, the best puzzles are the ones that you solve on Friday. Challenging enough that they take a day to figure out, but not so challenging that your weekend is ruined.

Ashore. Wine me.

Nice puzzle! Grid was not too hard, but not overly easy. I can see how the metanism might have been too much of a gimme for many, though I haven't had a chance to read any of the 8 pages of comments I see have built up since yesterday. For some reason we missed it at first and went down a couple of tempting rabbit holes before doing the head-slap and following the correct trail. So it was nice to 10D before getting the "a HA!"

Happy weekend!

On shore.
Wonder if Mike Shenk thought about making this one a Marie Kelly special for Saint Patrick’s Day.
