After weeks of being stranded at sea, I've made it to shore two weeks in a row now. Finally catching on?? We'll see.

MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE
for Muggles On Shore

Our new pool boy hails from Pretoria.
He is said to descend from Victoria.
With his manifest charms—
Oo-la-lashes and arms!—
He may yet rope a role on
Euphoria.

And his previous jobs tell a story—a
Rather
outlandish phantasmagoria
Of playing off passes
From matrons and lasses,
Who all sang “Hallelujah!” and “Gloria!”

Swam ashore easily. My daughter and I who solved the puzzle together are toasting with a 3 sheeps beer from Sheboygan brewing'

Toes in the sand!

Solved the grid, than.... nothing. Stuck, stuck, stuck! Some strange things, but nothing. Contemplated asking for a lifeline. Then went back and reviewed some older Patrick Berry puzzles, relooked at the thing and wham! hit on the head leading to the answer.

Feeling like an El Presidenté tonight, although today's WSJ article on freezing batch cocktails listed the intriguing "Fancy Free"

Congrats to Al on the Grand Marshall honor!

Stay safe all; hope everyone has an enjoyable long weekend.

Holy buckets, my first meta in almost three months! I had almost given up hope and consigned myself to a permanent stool with Isaac. There are worse fates in life.

Not the greatest pic, but a new addition to the critter list on daughter 2's excursions in the wilds of the north side of Chicago.

Good luck with the meta and stay safe. If you get bored (easy WSJ meta, no football games, etc.), try whimsy's (Claudia's) MEOW meta or Abide's MMM My Funny Valentine. Great metas by muggles
Also benchen71's MOAT, "Spick And Span" and MikeyG's Pun of a Kind, "Mistakes Happen".

The Other Meta Crossword Puzzles section is just full of fun!
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)
