You may not see Isaac at the left of this site's banner, if you only access this site via your phone. Isaac is Your Ship's Bartender.

WAIT WHAT!?!!! How?
Never under estimate the lure of the Muggle. We haven't got him solving yet, but I'm sure that is just a matter of time. I'm waiting to see a new forum member with the screen name of TedFromtheBoat and a post: "Hi, I'm new to solving but not to the Muggles, I've been mixing it up with you bunch for years...(double finger point)"

There are lots of other metas to do while you wait:

1. MMM - Muggle Meta Mondays
2. MOAT - Metas On A Tuesday (I construct these)
3. MEOW - Madhatter's Enigma on Wednesdays

Plenty of metas for you to get stuck into while waiting for WSJ Friday to roll back around!
You tell em BenChen, heck the WSJ is just the gateway Meta, we can take over your entire amount of free time if you'll let us!

Dry January is over, but I'm kinda extending for a bit, so once more a sparkling water with a twist.
Wow, I did the same thing, well almost. Mine was actually club soda, oh and I guess my twist was a twist of Scotch. But hey tomAto, tomAHto.

Ashore - After sitting down with the puzzle this evening, I found a current that gave me a push to the beach, after a brief interlude on a sand bar. Another ingenious mechanism.

I had the "trick" very early on but darned if I could put it together. Turns out I put it together very early on but just did not see it. It is incredibly frustrating when I do that, but then just as incredibly delightful when I do the DOH head-slap and see the light! Count me ashore please.

I'd put "Keeps missing the Obvious" on my list of things I hate, except that list already includes:

1. Lists
2. Irony
3. Lists
4. Repetition
E. Inconsistency
You hate irony? I love irony.

Definitely beats the alternative. 18258E70-C9CC-4E3C-A709-7D079695A0BB.jpeg
I didn't always hate it, it used to be tinny, but then I got a call from Tim. So I switched to Steely, but that seemed to upset Dan. Finally I changed to Irony because I thought that would be fairer (in the end though it turned out to be ferric). Gosh, I do love the Punic wars!

Since we, evidently feeling our 29D, seem to have entered the 15A now, let me just 6D any unsuspecting visitor who's "32D-ous" as to what broke out here that we're just majoring in loose (or perhaps 5D-) association today, throwing all caution to the elements, under the influence of which I would say that Dr. Tom's rejoinder here drove me plumb crazy [39D!] - which in turn calls to mind that I used to call my old steel Schwinn bicycle the "59A-27D model".

(And if you're tempted to call for 55D and feathers, take the 40D from your eyes first.)

6th day of Omicron and brain fog might be lifting.
I’ll have another Tylenol with an Advil chaser and maybe a wee dram of Woodford Reserve, honey and lemon. This was completely satisfying solve. Knowing what you were suppose to do was not so hard but actually making it work… that took some doing. (If you have a lot of congestion with THE virus, plead with your Dr for a Z pak!!! Helpful)

Ice, Ice, every where,
Nor any drop to drink.
Until I found Shackleton here aboard. Tho' he claims his name is "Ted Lange."

Good Sunday morning muggles

First we welcome our newest muggles Penny_Keatley, Berto and sunpie (who is Copper River's niece). Always great to have more muggles

We have 15 on the ship and 175 on the shore enjoying themselves and the winter Olympics. I can't think of one of the winter sports except curling, that I would ever think of doing at that level.

New to the ship's bar are

tmk
Kas
ajk
Commodore
otlaolap
Annabelle

While making their way to shore are

Debbie
DrTom
Jackie88
Colin
Ann
Joes and Natasha
Henry Paul
Cindy N
bread-girl
Penny_Keatley
Berto
sunpie
Heidi

Long odds winning the elusive mug this week. Good luck

This weekend’s knitting project - a pot holder
F4792A1B-3DDD-4EC5-8DCF-66417A294A97.jpeg
I drew up this pattern four years ago but for some reason didn’t actually make it then. Found it last week.
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

Made it to shore. Usually if I'm not at the tiki hut by Saturday noon, I'll be spending time with Isaac until next week. Took one more stab at it this morning, and found the solution. Fun one.

On shore after a gentle nudge, and every time I need a nudge I'm like "why didn't I see that! Doh!" once I have the nudge. very clever, very fun meta
