"Mind The Gaps" by benchen71
Welcome to...
benchen71's Metas on a Tuesday (MOAT)
Can you storm the castle by getting across the MOAT? I was fortunate enough to have heard the announcement "Mind the gap" with my own ears. However, that experience didn't inspire this meta, so if you haven't been as lucky you won't be disadvantaged in any way. The answer to the meta is a musical artist phonetically suggested by what you have to do four times to complete the grid. Best of luck!
PM me with your submissions or submit on Crosshare. Either way, I'll compile a list of those who successfully solve the meta.

Check out "The MOAT Mini Pack of Marching Bands" here. US$5 gets you 7 Marching Bands which, hard enough on their own, now contain metas too. And once again there's a mega-meta!

The alligators were distracted by the chicken necks I threw them, and I snuck across while they were chomping down.
I don't have anything clever to say, but if I did, it would go here.

Crossed the moat and stormed the castle. Didn't have to crawl across it this morning!! Fun one. Thanks, Ben!

Even when I saw the mechanism, it took me a bit to figure out who it was. Fun puzzle.

Huh. Thought I had it, but I guess not. I'm not good at the sound-alike stuff in general. Oh well, the one I thought I solved was fun.

Solved, confirmed on Crosshare. I thought I knew it for sure, even as I struggled to find my error to complete the grid. Turned out I was wrong, then right with the second guess. Thanks, Ben

I was struggling but agonizingly close to something. I took my recumbent trike on an 11 mile ride to get some fresh air and clear my head. I figured out the answer at mile 8.
Crossed the moat per Crosshare. Did I Crosshare the moat?
