Hello Muggles and happy MEOW day. No matter what you think of this puzzle, I can assure you that you’ll like it better than my first attempts at executing it. The revision process demonstrates the old adage that just because you *can* do something, it doesn’t mean that you *should.*

Thanks to the kind guidance of @whimsy, @Cap'n Rick, @DrTom, and @Al Sisti in getting this puzzle in shape to share with you today. The puzzle is different than the one(s) they tested, and that's a good thing!

The cat finally found a small tear in the bag that she could effectively widen with her razor-sharp claws. This was a challenge!

"Cat free," said Tom friskily. Good one, Mark. Thanks.

When I saw Mark did this one, I had to try it. Nice Job Mark. I am out of the bag!

Okay, this week I am three for three and getting th metas on first guess but taking quite a bit longer to get the metanism. I'm off the couch and maybe by the time I go to bed I will know why..... Oh wait.... well that's half of it....

“The cat has escaped!” said Tom freely.

Yes, I tested a while back, but I confess that I still had to work long and hard to get the cat free again, said Tom doggedly.

Cat is still stuck.

“MaineMarge’s cat isn’t sure if he’ll ever get out of the bag or not”, Tom said, mysteriously.

"I can't get the meta" David cried frustratedly.

"I wish I'd made a better puzzle," said Mark unskillfully. Day 1 produced 18 solvers along with some frustrations. Here's a nudge that I hope will help, and PM me if you need more.

Well, the cat has been released, but it was getting awfully ornery being trapped in there for so long.
