Cox and Rathvon. It took me a while to figure out how to apply the instructions, but once you get the idea you'll appreciate how clever it is. (I think I may have seen something like it before, maybe in a NYT Thursday puzzle.) I wonder how difficult it was to come up with six and fit them into a grid.

Great puzzle. I did have to read the instructions twice, but got it once I started to fill in the grid.
