This afternoon I am filling in for our Cruise Director who is busy signing papers.

The answer to this week’s contest crossword is a word that (I hope) describes this puzzle’s wordplay.

Whew, that was a struggle, but I'm on shore. It took me several passes before the light began to dawn. This is a good thing after I couldn't really do last week's due to traveling, so it's nice to be back on track.
