As @RPardoe pointed out I actually misspelled the answer!

It won't affect the solve, trust me, but still. That's embarrassing.

The cat has rolled out of the sack. On the plus side, I got it without nudges. On the other side, it really was dumb luck. But hey! A cat is a cat!

And since the cat is still stuck way at the bottom of the bag if that's at all a spoiler it's completely inadvertent.

To borrow a poker term, I missed the tell and needed a nudge to find it. IMPRESSIVE grid to set up the meta.

The cat is out of the bag but MEOW still scares me a little.

I needed a slight nudge, then saw what I needed to almost immediately. Very cool!

Whew. Took me a day or so, but the cat is out of the bag.
No nudge required this time. Pretty amazing puzzle.
