MEOWS #83 and #84

A weekly meta crossword on the forum started by member Josh (aka madhatter5). These puzzles are often very creative with solving mechanisms out of the norm and skewing towards the more challenging. Puzzles are posted every Wednesday, and the solution appears the following Tuesday.

Cat's out of both bags! Nice puzzles, Josh. I especially loved the "Hi Ben!" clue!! :D
Check out "The MOAT Mini Pack of Marching Bands" here. US$5 gets you 7 Marching Bands which, hard enough on their own, now contain metas too. And once again there's a mega-meta! :D

One cat has escaped, but the other is still stuck in the bag.

The second cat has squirmed his way out!

At last, a meta or two I could solve. And I loved the Easter Egg (or was it a Passover Egg?) in Religious Support.

One but not the other yet.
GUAVA is not an anagram of VAGUE and PEPPER is not a palindrome.

One out, one still praying the the bag (as opposed to preying). Your kitten keeps running away from me!
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges IF ASKED; metas should be about fun, not frustration. PM me what you have done so far, because often you are closer than you think, and I will try to help you move along.

OK, the kitten has been extricated from behind the couch (of all the places to hide....) and is scarpering across the rug. I asked him to scamper but he said "Not bleeding likely mate!"

Fun puzzles, and nice that I actually got a couple for a change. Thanks Josh, these are much better than when that fella with the bad puns fills in for you. :)

Crossword.info runs horribly on my phone. How long until the PUZ files are posted?
