On the beach! 🏖️

It took a couple of looks before I figured out what was going on.

And why the heck is the pdf named XWDtreacherous instead of XWD04292022? (Not really a spoiler but I'm playing safe.)

I loved and hated that book. Sent me into depression during high school...

On shore, peeling off the scuba gear to reveal evening wear fit for a night of high-stakes gambling and espionage. Fun puzzle! I'll have a spiced Mexican hot chocolate with an extra-large marshmallow, please.

On the beach!
A bit more challenging than last week, IMHO. But nice and clean solve.
Still haven't figured out what the title is suppose to mean.
Ok, now I grok the title. Putting my confusion into words nudged me into a state of enlightenment.

Ashore as well - what a relief after failing to make any headway in these puzzles for almost 2 months! I felt like such a lush sitting at Isaac's bar week after week, I know he was sick of me and my margaritas! Cheers everyone!

Solo solve tonight but had to Google 2 words. I had a hard time with the grid but suspected at least part of the path to meta as I was filling in the grid.

Ashore! Great meta but it was a tough one. I drafted to shore behind Acarl. Thanks partner!

Ashore!

There’s been a Daytona parked on our street all week; glad to move on to a new topic!

Cheers,

This was really a tour de force.
If you like Rows Gardens check out my mini ones here: viewforum.php?f=41. Nudges are free on the off chance I’ve solved the meta.

Happily, and uncontroversially, on shore. Starting a new streak after striking out last week.

Last week -- struggled for hours in vicious rip currents; my lifeless body washed up on Monday morning on Daytona Beach.
This week -- on shore after a two-minute dog paddle.
Ya never know...

Due to being in Berlin I didn't get to this until this morning, but I was able to solve it pretty quickly, except that it took me about five scans through the puzzle to find the one last thing that I needed. It's good to be on the beach after flaming out last week.
