Ashore. Definitely a Mike Shenk original. Great aha moment.

With you!

And just like that, I take one last look at the puzzle before lighting it on fire and lo, the clouds part and it becomes clear. And then kick myself for not seeing it sooner. Finally ashore. Beer me (I've earned it).

Sorry I abandoned you. Although I note that you waited until I swam to shore to offer to buy the next round.

Just got hit by the lighting bolt myself.

Definitely a "well duh!" moment.

Swam ashore via very circuitous route. At the train station in New York I ran into a couple who had copies of the puzzle. They gave me an extra blank copy which was very helpful. Muggles are everywhere

In a rabbit hole up to my eyeballs, certain I was on the wide-open road to solving success, when I was T-boned by an epiphany. Grateful to be on shore with all of you fine peeps - the non-marshmallow kind, of course.

Had a couple mistakes in the grid that kept me on the ship until I discovered the error of my ways. Am now ashore and waiting for the cabana boy (with bunny ears and all) to bring me a Paloma cocktail. :D

After a few too many rounds with Isaac (and a confirmation that my rabbit hole might be worth pursuing further), I've joined the not-so-exclusive (but lovely!) club on the shore. The previous forum comments this week sure are resonating with me. A minor spelling mistake was almost my downfall, and I too must applaud Mr. Shenk on an absolutely delightful and unique puzzle construction.

I think I'll take 'er easy today with a refreshing kombucha.

Fun steady paddle to the shore. Ready for some Gulf Coast time with a Big Beach or Fairhope cold one. Enjoy the holiday weekend!
