Feeling ever so close, but not quite to the finish line. Going to be the tortoise and climb up on a bar stool for awhile longer. May join the Zoom later!

I must be one of them. I submitted what seems like the right answer, but wasn't happy with the mechanism. I'll look at it again.

EDIT: Just took another quick look. I see the rest of the mechanism now. :)

I read that as "a flat Keystone Ice". Not sure which one's worse

Ashore. Maybe I’ll have better luck with that footsie routine with the cabana boy.
Just another great meta, Mike. ❤️

Still hanging out with Isaac but not going to let an unsolved meta RUin my day. Finished the grid and detected step one yesterday, but other things have kept me busy today. Like walking around a muDDY lake with my binoculars. Total of 36 species seen--16 of those were waterfowl. And birding DUty calls again tomorrow, so I'll be cheCKing out more of what migration brings! And hopefully, I will also detect a meta answer out there amongst the birds.

Now you two look married forever. No trade-in there.
A couple who metas together stays together.
You made our day! Thanks!!! :)

Yes I might have to. I feel like I should get this myself but I'm not seeing it.

Still on the boat, the slightest hint of a mechanism, but hoping to join the Zoom!

On shore! I finally quit trying to back solve to the wrong answer that I was sure was correct.

If you all could see me I am wearing a sheepish grin and have a large red mark in the middle of my head. I struggled so much with this one, and truthfully ricocheted off (by the way I had to look up the right spelling of that because ricocheted did not look right) the mechanism early on. BUT the important part is that I did not find it until a friendly muggle made a comment and I did the head slap.

Should have known that what I THOUGHT it was was simply not a Mike thing. A Tom thing for sure, and I'll probably keep that in the back of my head (where it will join countless other things relegated to the "I'll have to remember that" pile).

So AHA achieved, but won't submit.

Oh, and this is the shirt I felt I should buy after I saw what I was supposed to do....

NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges IF ASKED; metas should be about fun, not frustration. PM me what you have done so far, because often you are closer than you think, and I will try to help you move along.

I got the answer and had to back into the 2nd mechanism as well! Seemed so obvious after tbh. And with that I'll say I'm ashore, with a single plum floating in perfume served in a man's hat.

Had one last sip at the bar with Isaac before I swam to shore. Toes in sand and ready for the weekend.

All ashore that's going ashore. Wait. What? HOW many people got here before me?!?!?!? No matter. The more, the merrier ... and the weekend's nigh.

Not on shore! I thought it would be easy when I assembled the clues. Not yet. I have more time, so for now Isaac is keeping me company. I don't need a nudge.
Last week I was so close, but not quite.

Sometimes you chase rabbits. Other times, there aren't even any rabbits - just a blank brain. But then - whew! Done and dusted.
