Good luck winning the mug and stay safe
Alas, I am most assuredly not on shore, despite my snarky claim. Once again, I committed the dreaded "Grilled Ham and Cheese" offense. A "Grilled Ham and Cheese, or "Ghac" (which is exactly the sound made by one who commits such a faux pas) is when you're in such a hurry to show how smart you are that you make a stupid/very stupid mistake and send in a super-quick but super-wrong answer; resulting in public shame and a complete erasure and destruction of a smug smirk. (a "ghac" differs slightly from being "pageanted," because the latter phenomenon stems from a group of solvers being fooled by a constructor; whereas a "ghac" falls to one fool alone). Having done so means a) I should be found guilty on one count of POE, b) all but 9 solvers get to move one step closer to the top, c) I should spend the rest of the week doing naked push-ups on a coral reef (you'll want to avoid picturing that), and d) I don't deserve the Guinness I requested. Still gonna drink it; I just don't deserve it.

Al et al. I don't have a category for those who went to the wrong shore or decided to go back to the ship or landed in the mouth of a whale, etc. So once you are on the shore, you get to stay on the shore no matter what.

Plus it is your round and we are all thirsty.

Still paddling Mr. Cruise Director. Inching closer, but if the rip current gets me once more it'll be time for the coast guard. Better yet, put a Mae West on that cartoon St. Bernard and have him bring me a......well......a Mae West!

On shore… finally. I had been stuck in a deep, red herring, rabbit hole. It was such a good rabbit hole, I couldn’t believe it to be a coincidence, but apparently it was or maybe Matt was feeling devious!

Thanks to @DrTom for the rabbit hole rescue!
Overthinking is my super power. 8-)

My good Master Sisti: As much joy as you've brought this Mass o' Muggles - as solver, constructor, musician, philosopher, Father Confessor and mischief-maker - you will never NOT deserve a Guinness.

Ahoy, Cruise Director Bob. Just finished taxes and the grid, in that order, and I believe I see the glint of land. I might make it ashore yet, but there's a wine tasting tonight in my particular yacht, so colour me asea and glad of it.
For nudges, feel free to PM me. I won't have a clue how to help you, but you might shove me ashore.

Hello Muggles, checking in. Ashore for a change. I had this quickly, but didn't quite believe it at first. I am no longer unsure. Back to March Madness. Bracket is in little bitty pieces, but five out of six long shot futures bets are sill alive. I'll be rooting for UNC, Houston, Nova, Duke, or Miami.

Ashore. It's turning into my Saturday afternoon diversion. This is a nice and very clever meta. One has to admire the elegant pretzel-like nature of the mechanism. For me it meant spending a while in the "Now what?" zone. It's a great place to be, because you have the end in sight (you think), but no clear answer until you work that pretzel. Hat tip to Matt on this one.

Ashore! Was down a doozy of a rabbit hole that pointed to a different body part, but I knew something was off. Glad I kept searching. Great aha moment, great puzzle! Wine me, please.
...Remember there are worse things than a shattered chandelier...

If you see I'm ashore and need a nudge, feel free to message me.

If you lived near MaineMarge, you could have a buffalo in your house real soon. This herd escaped from their pasture just 1 mile from me this week. No trace of them now.

how do you hide a herd of buffalo?
Just having a little fun with the guys and their Buffalo Trace special drinks.
Actually this herd is hidden in a back pasture away from sight( usually!!) All were herded back home except for 1 killed by a passing motorist.
I feel for the buffalo who was hit. That car must be a mess, too!

Made it halfway to shore on Friday, now 'toes in sand' after seeing it on Saturday. I think I'll have a highball!
