Good Friday afternoon muggles.

A slightly delayed report as I have been typing a lot. We have 6 on the ship and 147 on the shore

And we welcome our newest muggle - archaicMage - great to have more muggles

I’ve submitted an answer that I think fits the question, but unlike most solvers, I’m not 100% sure my answer is what they’re looking for. But I don’t think fretting all weekend will convince me, so I’ll declare myself on the beach until proven wrong on Monday.
No shame in asking for a confirmatory nudge if you need it. I personally think this one is a 100 percenter.

Ashore! Woo hoo!

And a toast to celebrate from the rare eagle in the crowd of buffalos... 😉

Ashore! Nice to get one after coming up empty the last few weeks.

Eagle1279, this is definitely a 100 percenter.

If it's any consolation, being on the first page doesn't always imply a correct answer. I once (in)famously sent in a superquick answer "Grilled Cheese" -- possibly made with "gloat cheese" -- only to find out that the answer was "Grilled Ham and Cheese" (in my haste to be the first solver, I missed the "Ham and" part). Well, I did it again this week. I went from "Quick! Sand!" to "Quicksand." I have two bits of good advice. 1. Take your time; it's better to be correct than quick, and 2. (to me) Heed #1.
Oh great--now the paranoia and second guessing is beginning! :? Not that I can do much, since I've submitted.

Ashore! I had fun doing this one with my daughter in Florida who is new to meta puzzles. And she works in [Redacted] so this puzzle is perfect for her.

If you lived near MaineMarge, you could have a buffalo in your house real soon. This herd escaped from their pasture just 1 mile from me this week. No trace of them now.

how do you hide a herd of buffalo?
Just having a little fun with the guys and their Buffalo Trace special drinks.
Actually this herd is hidden in a back pasture away from sight( usually!!) All were herded back home except for 1 killed by a passing motorist.

Count me ashore...another fun one!

Yes it is always worth the effort to set aside the quick answer in order to discover the elegant solution.

Now I will get on with my day. Will wait for sunset to break open the vodka.

Happy weekend everyone!

Did most of the grid in the Seattle Airport yesterday while switching planes and stewed over what I could see over the next 6 hours, making things way more difficult than I needed to. Had a decent night's sleep that ended at 4 am local time and it all came quickly into focus. So I'm on shore literally and figuratively on a holiday in Waikiki.

Solved and submitted.
I'm definitely slowing down in solving these. I think this is a classic meta. I used to "see" these almost automatically but took me a bit longer this week.
