On shore, the Jersey shore as the case may be today. Mom in law doesn’t have a functioning printer so another week of iPad solving turned a quick task into a slog this morning. Coffee to-go for me.

Sitting at the bar with Isaac. Once again, struck by the Gaffney curse. Sometimes I get lucky with his metas, but most times I just don't see them. Oh well, at least the company is nice.

Thought I saw the solution TWICE, but no dice. Setting myself up with Isaac while I bake some Brown Butter Coconut Cookies.

Looks like I’ll be hanging with Isaac today.
That’s OK. He’s very good at consoling us.

Ashore. Solved inexplicably fast but needed to be persuaded.

ETA: Something else has been pointed out to me that now makes it maybe a 99.44 percenter.
I am ashore, but can someone please clarify the comment above; is there another way to submit my answer other than emailing it in the subject line to crosswordcontest@wsj.com? I have been submitting it by emailing pretty much every week for almost two years, so if there is another way that would make it more likely that I win the mug, I am gonna be somewhat upset at myself. (I not-so-secretly really want to finally win the mug :D.) This may be one of those things that I should already know, or that I would know if I joined some of the zoom sessions, so please forgive me if the answer is obvious. :D

Ha! Love that shirt.

Also, am hanging with Isaac today. I see part of the solution but definitely not the whole enchilada.

UPDATE: I just found an old post in the lounge that answers my question, and assuages my unfounded concern about not having a chance to win the mug. I had no idea that the answer could be submitted through the website, and I am glad to know that my chances are not any better or worse if I email it in. (This forum literally has everything you ever wanted to know about metas. Thanks to all!)

Still staring at a completed grid and struggling to even find a promising rabbit hole. I wouldn't be opposed to a Zoom session this afternoon if folks are interested.. :?

I am 100% on my first word of this two word answer, but struggling with the possibilities for the second. I'll sleep on it before I submit.

Ashore. Typical Gaffney. I am mostly sure, just like Westley was mostly dead in the Princess Bride.

Like many others above, I think I am on the shore. Will wait to submit until I ponder some more to confirm.
Good luck to all!

I've solved, but I'll be happy to hang out and chat and nudge if needed. I love seeing faces light up as they find the answer.
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)
