First a great welcome to our newest muggles - UHJ and mthurner - welcome to the clan and is there is anything we can do to help, please do not be afraid of asking.

We have 5 on the ship with 28D and 92 on the shore

And for those in sunny, warm climates, this is what we are looking forward to tomorrow. Your humble servant is in the center of the red circle at the end of the black arrow - where we are expected to get 24 inches of wind blown snow tomorrow. But fear not, I have extra gas in my 30" snowblower and plenty of gas for the generator. And a week 4 MGWCC to keep me occupied.

Bob! You saved me the trouble of grabbing this very same kind of clip and directing it to @Kas!
Lookin' like a Kas 5 for his parts!
Stay safe all!

Still in the ship or maybe even in the water. Deep into what probably is the mechanism. If it's not, it's the biggest rabbit hole diversion I've seen to date. Not happy with one piece, but still processing it. Maybe I'll make cookies for a while.

Struggled with one section of the grid, then after the first AHA!, I tried to add more steps than were needed.
But now I’m on shore.

That weird channel 5 logo has bugged me all my life. I guess there's an arrow in the negative space, but all I see is an apostrophe in the center.

Just look at me, preparing for snowpocalypse! And being on shore.
I really enjoyed 28down! And he has a January birthday. I wonder if he does these puzzles.

You'll get there! I don't know if it helps, but I solved this backwards, then corrected a few of my rabbity mistakes and confirmed the mechanism and answer.

Did you get any takers for zoom? It's more fun if several non-solvers can work together and trade ideas. But if none of the ship-bound crew is up for it, I'll be happy to chat with you.
And I, too, would be happy to join in if something's scheduled.
How about 5 pm?
OK, 5PM. Eastern time, right? Works for me. See you there!
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

Ashore after also making a mistake that caused me to question what had to be the answer. Note to self - follow directions, read carefully.
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges IF ASKED; metas should be about fun, not frustration. PM me what you have done so far, because often you are closer than you think, and I will try to help you move along.

On the beach after making what is probably the same detour that others have mentioned. I was so sure!! Now I am shore.

I'm ashore as well.

We're in the 6-12" band but we're prepared for worse if it shows up.

See the red US off of Boston
See the black outline of an arrow going through Boston from right to left
See the red circle superimposed just above the R in Worcester
See Bob's house in the middle of the red circle

I am either traveling down the most clever rabbit hole or I am 2/3's of the way to the answer. Meanwhile, Isaac is passing me a Bass Ale.

We are always happy to get to know other muggles and help in any way! PM's are always welcome. The next best thing to winning a mug is helping a fellow muggle win a mug!

Resigned to a weekend with Isaac. Just heard about a new invention from the UK. It is a telepathic air-freshening system. You read that right: a telepathic air-freshening system! I know it seems ridiculous, but it makes sense if you think about it....
