Did you get any takers for zoom? It's more fun if several non-solvers can work together and trade ideas. But if none of the ship-bound crew is up for it, I'll be happy to chat with you.
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

Howdy y'all. First time poster. For the past year or so I've been solving the Friday, spending some time absolutely lost at sea, thinking about it more Sunday night, giving up and shaking my head Monday morning. But I'm pushing myself to actually try this year. I think I have the first part, hopefully will be joining y'all on shore by Sunday night

Good luck, fellow Muggles!

We call that "post-enlightenment" - when right after posting to publicly admit that you're totally at sea, you suddenly see the right path and find the shore. It's amazing how often that works.

Welcome! Glad to have you joining us!

Good Friday morning muggles

First a great welcome to our newest muggles - UHJ and mthurner - welcome to the clan and is there is anything we can do to help, please do not be afraid of asking.

We have 5 on the ship with 28D and 92 on the shore

And for those in sunny, warm climates, this is what we are looking forward to tomorrow. Your humble servant is in the center of the red circle at the end of the black arrow - where we are expected to get 24 inches of wind blown snow tomorrow. But fear not, I have extra gas in my 30" snowblower and plenty of gas for the generator. And a week 4 MGWCC to keep me occupied.

If free (after 5, say) I’d join in too… I wish I had some promising paths to contribute, but so far just the completed grid with a lot of dead ends…

Primping on the sand.
Pulls a single rose from the bouquet and hands to Mr. Gaffney. Well done.

On Shore. I liked this one. Took the detour others have mentioned before a course correction.

Grid was great, but I'm completely baffled by the meta mechanism. I'll be posting up at the bar on the boat most of the weekend..

hmmm, methinks I am making this harder than it is! Will put it aside until after lunch.
Stay warm, my friends! Will be chilly here in SC this weekend but nothing like the NE!

I'm one of the few hanging with Isaac. I feel as if I'm 2/3 of the way there but not seeing the final step. Gives me hope when I see Wendy thinking she made a mistake. By the way, as I mis-typed thinking--it auto corrected to THINK GIN. Hmmm. How does it know???

Wish me luck, Muggles.

How about 5 pm?
