Edit: Now I get it.
Took me a second look also.

Got it. But, wow, was it easy to overthink this one. Red herrings for din-din, anyone?
Happy to give nudges. If you notice I've solved, please tell me about avenues you've explored so I can nudge you in the right direction and not off a cliff.

🏖
I don't completely understand the mechanism, but I am 100% sure that I have the answer. Mrs. C=64 and I are meeting some folks for drinks soon and I will pretend to be engaged in conversation while secretly thinking it over. 🤔😀

I’m 99% ashore, submitted but awaiting confirmation from fellow muggles. I swam around sucking seawater for 2 hours and then had the moment. Made myself an Old Fashioned on what seems to be the umpteenth day in a row of damp dark weather in NJ.

Ps. Happy New Year all. Happy to close out my first full month here on a high note!

For sure. I chased a lot of them, and there were a lot…

Zowie--now that's the way to end a year and start a new one. Count me on shore, Captain Bob. First time in a bit. Happy to be on solid ground to ring in the new year. Happy New Year, Muggles. All the best for mugs for all in the new year!

On shore after vigorously catching some red herrings around the reef.
Hope the Bearcats show up for the game tomorrow and not the Bear-clowns.

Got a late start (family time!) and did a little too much “hard work” to figure this one out, til I saw what I was supposed to see and then smooth sailing to shore. Once you get the idea, the finding & filling in is fun! (One of them I was completely unaware of.). Agree that the meta answer was a favorite in our house!

One more glass of champagne, please, before dry January! Happy 2022, mugglemates!
The other Wendy.
