You can find me at the bar on the Lido deck, Bob. After nailing the last two toughies, I am humbly nursing a beer with Isaac today. Perhaps inspiration will strike by tomorrow, perhaps not. Either way, I am enjoying this marvelous summerlike weather.

woozy wrote: Sat Nov 13, 2021 11:39 am I'm not sure I'd say it isn't crisp. Walking on a sidewalk and having it collapse like balsa wood under your foot is "crisp" but not in the way a satisfying BLT is crisp.
Woozy, Peter's use of "crisp" was a humorous reference to my embarrassingly off-base and utterly debunked first answer.
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

Just starting to work the meta. Will some of those who are basking on the beach rate the difficulty of the meta so I can justify why I am so hopelessly lost?

It's at 4.5 now. I'd give it a 5.

Wear a mask
Wait 6 feet apart
Wash your hands
Work to fill the grid
Wish you had an idea about the meta

Is that a 5 out of 5? Or a 5 out of 9 or 10???

And I'm not really on shore as.... I don't feel tossing a bamboo mat over the heads of swimmers and walking on it while keeping one's feet dry while the swimmers are forced under is really a fair way to get to the beach. I'm .... standing on the deck and looking at the view and sighing "it could have been.... It could have been".

As for rating.... it's not a matter of difficulty. I'd say of the standard things to pursue to find the handle is about average (although is no way to figure that correct handle is better than any of the other potential handles). But figuring out what to do with it is just a flash. No difficulty or ease involved. Just whether you are flash receptive or not.

That would be out of 5. Like the 5 W’s.

I’m with Isaac, third week in a row. Last two weekends were too full to even check in here. I’m a little relieved to see that others find it as difficult as I do. I thought I saw a wabbit whole, but I think it was a coincidence…back at it.

Yeah, don't think I would have seen this on my own. But had a fun time on the SS Zoom Yacht.

Well that was brutal, and humbling. Group solve where some who had already solved almost had to take our hands. Even with HUGE shoves we did not see it and I'm talking GOOD solvers. It may have been too simple for us to see because we all wanted to reinvent the wheel. At any rate, my head can now stop hurting and I can get on with the week-end. Once again not submitting because I almost had to be spoon fed.
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges IF ASKED; metas should be about fun, not frustration. PM me what you have done so far, because often you are closer than you think, and I will try to help you move along.

Ashore, thanks to the Zoom life raft - it was fun to meet everyone, thanks for the help. Not submitting, and I hope one of the Muggles wins the prize this week

On the ship contemplating afternoon coffee. Kids and I solved the grid last night, but didn't get far with the meta before sign-off. I had to be online for work (night time system implementations), then had HOA meeting and more work meetings today. But NOW I'm ready to try the meta.

Though... going outside in the wet snow to climb down into the crawl space to check on things down there actually sounds appetizing given the comments I'm reading here about my likelihood of finding the answer...
