Submitted, confident I'm OTC.
I would rate this closer to a week 2.
Fantastic debut, please keep at it! I gotta say, you're certainly raising the bar for others who may be thinking of getting into (meta) puzzle creating!!

Off the couch!
Nice debut!
This one IS in my wheelhouse. To say more, though, might be a, ahem, tip-off.

Submitted. As confident as a non-sports person can be about this. A very nice debut!

Submitted and am sure I am right. Anything more I would say would be a definite spoiler.

A leaderboard update before I call it a day...
I'll put a nudge out there tomorrow.

Since this is my first try, I'm wondering if the constructor sometimes thinks it's easier than it really is. After all, WE know the answer!madhatter5 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 2:52 pm This is a week one? I must be getting old.

Yes!Thurman8er wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 3:57 pm Since this is my first try, I'm wondering if the constructor sometimes thinks it's easier than it really is. After all, WE know the answer!
There is a very different perspective, knowing the answer and "seeing the path to get there" compared to being at the beginning and EVERYTHING looks like a possible path to somewhere (hopefully the answer).
Not directed at you - but that is one key value a test solver can provide. Thoughts and comments on what people might try to solve the puzzle. A creator can then take that feedback and adjust the puzzle (harder or easier) as desired. (And by test solve - I mean a blind test - the puzzle is given without any comments or hints as to the intended solution path.)

Off the couch - not as easy as advertised, at least for me, but once I got it, I got it.
Congrats, Steve, and thanks for the puzzle.
I’m new to the MMM board - when people write solved and submitted, is this just a habit from the WSJ board, or do we submit answers somewhere?

If the puzzle has been posted on Crosshare, you can submit your meta answer and get instant feedback about whether you are correct or not. Alternatively, we PM the poster with our answer, and wait for them to reply.MarkWoychick wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 6:19 pm I’m new to the MMM board - when people write solved and submitted, is this just a habit from the WSJ board, or do we submit answers somewhere?
As an example of the former, check out my MOAT puzzle: viewtopic.php?f=49&t=1248
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!
