Only just printed, but I notice that even as a subscriber I cannot comment on the Friday crossword post at wsj. Thought it would be good to remind others to post here, but no such luck.

Yet, we can still post to the 4/5/19 puzzle. Perhaps the WSJ coders aren't finished with the new setup yet.

Got it! And also noticed that there is no comments section at the WSJ for this puzzle.

Got one quickly for once. I've been on a long losing streak.
I am surprised that they would stop comments on the puzzles. I get that organizations are becoming leery of fallout from providing a forum for certain kinds of content they can't control, but if there's ever been controversial content on the puzzle page, I missed it. It's just a bunch of people talking about words.

I thought it was just me that couldn't see the comments. I just sent something to WSJ support. I've done the grid but I'm not seeing the meta yet.

Onshore. I struggled a little with the grid, but by the time I finished, I had a pretty good idea about the meta.

I just love that feeling when you see the meta immediately! Not my experience today. I got something, but it’s not taking me anywhere.

Safe on the new shore. Looks like the old one was swallowed up by the sea. Hope Isaac can find us here!

On shore (unlike last week, a failure that still kind of smarts
). Actually got it almost as soon as I finished. Hope this new forum works out ...

On shore! For the first time I'm not a 1 or a 5. This was 2+ for me.

Early trip to the beach today. I will refrain from discussing the cocktail I’m enjoying!
