Thanks to Josh for posting the puzzle links and to Joe for his (upcoming) excel link.
Here's the Crosshare one also - https://crosshare.org/crosswords/hg0k7fZXS2qkSnPg2HK5
OK – another rather off-kilter appearing grid.
This, the evolution of my first attempt at making a meta, was inspired by its theme, as well as by conversation on a Tuesday zoom turning to the fact that there seem to be more male crossword constructors than female. I thought something should be done about that, but was a bit chagrined when I ended up sharing the more “domestic” Pots and Pans puzzle first! So this one I think of as the antidote to that one!
As indicated above, the challenge level of the meta for this one is quite low – once you do the grid, the answer shows itself quickly, pretty much popping out at you. So while you might not get any great Ahas, I hope that the puzzle taken as a whole – title, theme, clues and entries (some of which are Muggle-friendly) and meta solution -- will prove amusing enough to provide a few heh-hehs along the way. Have fun!

I thought the clueing was fun! A little weird at times, but I like some non-standard stuff in crosswords. And I learned a few things. Nice job, Whimsy

A very amused cat is at large. Whimsical indeed. My favorite clue/entry was 56D. (Are people under 40 or some such age familiar with the phrase or its original and very non-feminist meaning?)

I'm assuming you're referring to the "A Woman's Place is.." line -- not in the kitchen with those Pots and Pans, but ... in the grid, obviously!Bird Lives wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 11:33 am (Are people under 40 or some such age familiar with the phrase or its original and very non-feminist meaning?)

Well yes, I guess one can lose something in the grid, though the view these days is that it's no so much a loss as a disencumbrance.whimsy wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 12:09 pmI'm assuming you're referring to the "A Woman's Place is.." line -- not in the kitchen with those Pots and Pans, but ... in the grid, obviously!Bird Lives wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 11:33 am (Are people under 40 or some such age familiar with the phrase or its original and very non-feminist meaning?)

Delightful puzzle, Whimsy! Bonus points for getting for both 16A and 52 in there! Tina is out of the bag and enjoying some time at her, uh, 21A on the windowsill.
Good luck, fellow Muggles!
