Really fun one. I stupidly had it in my unthinking head that this was going to be week 4/4 when really it's 3/5. Relieved that I lucked into the mechanism early (busy weekend), but not surprised that this one seems to be landing like a 4/4 anyway.

Beamed up and enjoying the fine company!

My experience was similar to Hector’s. Feeling lucky and relieved. Could easily have stared at this all weekend.

Got it (pending confirmation, but it's 100% in my opinion). It's a fun one!

ETA: Confirmed - woo hoo! Top 20 - don’t think I’ve gotten so high on Matt’s list before!

One to beam up! Felt like it was easier than last week to see what to do, but harder to actually do it.

Edit: Oh good grief, I read @TMart's comment and looked to see if I missed something, and wow did I ever! Still on (leader)board though, so it's a win.

Fun one. I hope to be beaming up once Matt and Ada wake up from their naps!

Edit: On board and just noticed something that would have made the trip a whole lot easier. This one’s even better than I thought.

Solved - at least I think so. Late start due to picking my son up from sleepaway camp (a rousing success).

I am constantly in awe of how good Matt is at making these puzzles. This one was excellent.

Beam me up, pending confirmation.

Edit: Confirmed at #38, which is pretty good for a week 3 for me, especially when I didn't start it until almost 5 hours after it was out.

Have a first step, or at least a step that must be part of it, but otherwise still scrambling along the planet's surface.

Another edition of "How does he do it???" Great puzzle with a first step that worried would lead nowhere but, assuming I'm beamed up, it led somewhere!

Hardest Week 3's of 2021 were TOP HAT (133) and OCHO (228). I'm thinking about 250 or so for this one; I'd say Week 3.5 at least for this one. A lovely challenge!

As with several other GAffneys, when I first saw what I thought was going to be the true path to enlightenment, I thought, "No, it can't be," and then "OMG, it is."

Doing it in .puz and then copying and pasting the completed grid into Paint was especially helpful.
