Andre.....You've Lost Another Submarine?
Good Monday Morning!
And it is for me because I'm excited to share my first MMM!

202010614 MMM whimsy — Andrei You've Lost Another Submarine — Excel form
Thank you to the helpers --
@BrianMac for vetting and "translating" the formats for me,
@Al Sisti for test-solving the early version (identical mechanism) and making suggestions,
@Joe Ross for his Excel file-- and probably a solution graphic a few days from now if I ask, pretty please?
-- and Big Brother for taking a gander at both versions and being the first solver, letting me know that it was solvable!
Please PM me with any answers or questions. Crosshare may or may not provide you with feedback -- not sure since the puzzle was constructed there before the new features went into effect.
Postings here (and possibly there) will serve as a leaderboard/tally since I can speel better than I can cownt.
Difficulty level -- Meta -- not very, and probably less than it would have been last week.
Grid -- maybe trickier than the meta; a few wacky clues, but significantly fewer than in Andrei1.0.
Finally, to @Abide's Spooky Coincidence list we'll have to add a #3. Many of you will get my drift shortly!
Have fun!
Edit: Ooops! The meta answer is: A maritime expression.
Thanks, @Cap'n Rick!

And we have confirmation. That was a fun puzzle and a great meta. I’ve bounded off the settee. Thanks, picture lady!

Solved and submitted!
But did want want to say - safely ashore given the theme, but that is reserved for another puzzle.

Off the couch ... after tripping over an errant cushion and being generously righted by our talented constructor. Nicely done, Whimsy!
