After weeks with nary a wave, Isaac welcoming me back to bar like a lost soul...

Even sleeping on it overnight did nothing to move us along... Nudges welcome.

Edit: answered, thanks! :D
There is no official leaderboard, but our Cruise Director, Bob, posts a list of all who have declared themselves “ashore” (solved). Doesn’t mean all are correct, just that they found an answer to submit.

Had a hard time with the grid but got it done; meta not so much. I’ve slept on it. I’ve picked it up and put it down multiple times. I’ve taken a walk. Nothin’.
I think it’s time to print the grid and fill it in again.
Isaac, please put the next round on my tab!

And as to our impression of the puzzle difficulty, yes, it was harder than February. But we felt it wasn't too much more difficult. Maybe low-medium(?). But good. Took us several minutes and a couple (fortunately) shallow rabbit holes, before we got it. A welcomed change from last month, indeed!

And we went back to dad, here, solving it first and showing those young whippersnappers the wisdom of age. 8-)

With the discussion of a leaderboard, I often wonder why we don't have one yet.
Is there any other crossword contest which gets as many entries for each puzzle? Matt would probably let the WSJ team use the code from his site, not that it's too hard to write. I'd be interested to see the stats like MGWCC has.

The data analyst/excel lover :geek: in me was thinking recently that it'd be fun to create kind of an all time leaderboard showing those who reach the shore the soonest/most etc, but I'm also afraid that it could have the potential to alter the supportive and collaborative nature of this forum.

And at that rate that whomever was in charge of this would send themselves in to analysis paralysis making pivot tables, filters, etc al.
