Finally ashore thanks to a nudge from Boharr. Learned a valuable lesson this week...

On shore, after what I thought was a very tough grid. For the longest time, I had wrong (but decent) answers for 8A and 70A.

Late to start but quick (for me at least!) to finish. Onshore and keeping the 2021 streak alive!

Nice puzzle, Joanne...or Miss Joanne as I've been told that's more polite.
Solved.
Solved.

Well, I have an answer. It makes sense with the title but the "middle" of it just doesn't feel right to me - like it's really a stretch or something. Guess I'll know later today if I made it shore or floated to a different island all together.

Ashore at last. I made the same mistake I have made so often and needed a gentle nudge.

Eleventh hour solve for me, but ashore. Can't help but ask "Is that it?" Feels like there should be more but the answer I got makes sense with the title and the other comments here. Is it too late to have a beer?
