MEOW #10: Hail, Caesar!
Hi all and welcome to the tenth installment of the MEOW! Many of you will be relieved to know this one is only a calico. The answer to this meta is a three-word phrase.

I could have sworn I posted. Perhaps it’s in the wrong section. So many metas. Anyway, I clawed my way out, finally. Why did I make it so hard?

Finished but am not going to call it a solve. I needed WAY too much help so say that I was able to release the cat!
Interesting and I learned some new things. I had to use Excel to get my brain around it, even with strong support.

Clever clueing - -took me a solid 1.5 hours to fill, along with some Latin googling (still not sure about 48A .) Now to try to untie the knot in that bag. . . .

Yes tough grid, and I see the breadcrumbs, but...??
I think I know what the phrase will be — can even justify the first two and last two letters of it easily. But the middle??
Nudge, anyone?

And then hopped on my lap to give me the softest of nudges toward something I was already doing, but doing wrong! Got it now.
Fun puzzle! Loved the clues “push-up,” “org. with travel bans,” and the I-give-up on 61A.

Oops, I thought I had posted here earlier that I had finally solved this one (after much consultation with other Muggles), but now I'm not seeing the post. Yikes, did I inadvertently post a spoiler?? Otherwise, I may have simply neglected to hit submit.
Anyway ... cat out of the bag ... and I feel like a moron for how long it took me to get here.
Good puzzle!

I finished the grid fairly quickly (three years of Latin in high school) but am just not getting the meta. I have a few three-word phrases in mind but can't backsolve.

I needed the nudges to keep me on the right path, but the cat is out of the bag!

Needed the nudges as well, clever approach but not something I saw or even would have. All that said though, in the words of Caesar

NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!
