You are not alone, Cynthia!CPJohnson wrote: Thu Dec 31, 2020 3:19 pm And, I am the only person in the world at Isaac's bar. I see nothing.
I'm having some computer "issues" and am having to "lay low" for the next week or so waiting for delivery of a charger/connector.
Co-incidentally, I'm also having to lay low in terms of meta solution -- I feel as though I'm seeing too much -- too many snippets of pathways that aren't leading to anything definitive --- will keep on sniffin' ---

I think there’s clearly only one correct answer here but that’s just, like, my opinion, man.

If you like Rows Gardens check out my mini ones here: viewforum.php?f=41. Nudges are free on the off chance I’ve solved the meta.

I guess I am a creature of habit—I was expecting the puzzle today and didn’t even consider that it might come out early. Quick solve, but I think there are two answers and that Matt would accept either if this were a MGWCC. Happy, healthy New Year to all. I have my glass of Pappy ready for midnight to kiss this dumpster fire of a year goodbye.

I haven't played in an ACBL event in years. Don't even know if I have my ACBL member # any more. Used to play OKBridge for a while, but gave up that as well.KayW wrote: Thu Dec 31, 2020 2:03 pmGuilty as charged (minus the fire)! Do you play ACBL (American Contract Bridge League) bridge on BBO (Bridge Base Online)? I think it's fabulous how the ACBL and BBO cooperated and quickly adapted to pandemic times, and got all us bridge geezers playing online. Since the clubs and tournaments have shut down, it's been a sanity-preserver for many of my friends. I have three standing weekly games and more than a few ad hoc ones.Plymouthrock wrote: Thu Dec 31, 2020 9:37 am Another Holiday drink on the house. Think I’ll grab an IPA to get ready for a quiet New Year’s eve by the fire playing Bridge on Line. I bet there are more than a few Muggles out there who do the same.
If I'm around, I am willing to join the Muggle Zoom room at other times to lend a hand to those in need.

OK, let me try this again! Here I thought I was so smart linking to a Google Doc - apparently it is not that easy. I did not know you have to enable it for "anyone". Hopefully this works for those who want it. PLEASE let me know if it does nt and I'll ask some of our more sharing experienced Muggles how to do it.

NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges IF ASKED; metas should be about fun, not frustration. PM me what you have done so far, because often you are closer than you think, and I will try to help you move along.

Was shocked to see nine pages of responses by 4:05 Thursday. Derp.
But was not "derped" by the puzzle. Happily on shore and getting ready for our quiet NYE celebration at home, with Hendricks martinis and Oysters Mosca, then lobster tails with a nice white, probably a 1er Chablis.
Happy New Year (and good riddance to the old!) to all!

Errata:
Ignore my earlier post about two possible answers. I submitted a five word phrase ( I overlooked or misread the prompt).
That’s why I thought there could be two possible answers last year. Clear as mud, right?

The site is just a web page, a meeting place, a clubhouse - it's the group that's special.

Followed the clues, am on shore but definitely felt like it wasn't the most satisfying. The four word phrase I get is not really one I would use on its own. Unless I missed something or it's used differently in other parts of the country (I'm in the midwest).
