That thought crossed my mind as well.

I'm on shore!
This is one of the best I've ever completed. I had an idea where it would end up from the very beginning, but the journey to get there was nothing short of thrilling.
Kudos to Muller & Beckman on a great puzzle!

More brain lubricant before going AFK for the day. That's the ticket.
Isaac, 22D-42D, if you please. Gracias, Jennifer, for the suggestion!
My visual layout is now sporting 6 colors, representing possible solutions & rabbit holes. Back at it on Sunday.

I'm with you guys. Seems way to easy to make the leap of faith to the obvious answer. I'm going to keep on swimming for a while.

Iโm pretty sure Iโve made it to shore. I did it last night, the final night of vacation. Son #2 is at the wheel as we drive through North Carolina back to Tennessee. Dom says he hasnโt made it to shore yet. This is the first time I am fairly confident in my answer without feeling 100% certain, so we shall see...

I have been a lurker on the USS Muggles for about 2 years. Officially joining today as I like the new message board and I am hoping this increases my karmic chances of actually winning an elusive mug. Thought this was an excellent puzzle and meta. Done, 100%'er.

Welcome to the group. We are always happy to have more muggles. I hope the karma helps wining the mugAlan H wrote: Fri Jul 12, 2019 2:51 pm I have been a lurker on the USS Muggles for about 2 years. Finally on that elusive shore! Quite a journey, as there were all those rabbits trying to distract me! (Heidi)

Woot! Two weeks in a row!
I was confused for a while because I made a careless bookkeeping error. Once I found, I immediately saw the answer.

I've jumped off the ship and am dog paddling now. I can't see the shore, but I'm feeling strong.

And finally I have dragged myself to shore! Beer me, please.

I agree with others.
This seems so straight forward that Iโm gonna hang out here on the boat for a tad bit longer.

No leaps required, and when you find the answer youโll be sure.tim1217 wrote: Fri Jul 12, 2019 2:05 pm

On shore.
Wowza! I did not expect to be on the beach so soon - or at all! - given my dim and distant memories of Chemistry 201 (no AP for me!)
Very clever, and 100% - a fantastic debut meta here for Muller/Beckman. I hope they'll be back. (Wonder if I'd be saying that if I didn't get it....)

Done & done on a Friday night, feels good! Very tough grid, tricky meta. Good luck everyone!

I think you can get it. Just keep looking, and thinking, and noticing things.Inca wrote: Fri Jul 12, 2019 8:01 am I don't think this is going to go well for me. Even the grid was impossible for me to finish without going googley-eyed. I'm tempted to drop the search for the solution because something is telling me this is not going to happen anyway. Those who "know [me], know all about me": Do you think I'm right?
