I think our cruise director missed my update. I am firmly on shore.

Checking in to say that I am hopelessly lost at sea! I see so many signals but just can't crack it, and long ago passed my Gaffney time limit. Looking forward to the big reveal...

Still on the boat. Lost at sea.
If Isaac is still pouring drinks, I'll take one. Preferably something cold.

Your avatar made me jealous. I am playing tomorrow with predicted temperature in the 90's and heat index over 100.Colin wrote: Sun Jul 19, 2020 12:23 pm Sorry, missed the roll call,
Outside the heat is sizzling,
Hoping for a miracle,

Forget the garden, it is too hot. Come into the lounge and I will buy you a nice cold drinkHidden in 3D wrote: Sun Jul 19, 2020 11:58 am I've got nothin' and I'm growing tired of tunneling. Instead I will spend my afternoon working on rooting some cuttings from my over-abundant herb garden. Marge, I will have them ready to transplant into the stern garden as soon as I can!

Just back from the wilderness of northern Maine -- my mind is entirely too at ease to cope with the challenge, so I'll just relax with Isaac and sip on a Monkey-n-tonic with a slice of orange (fellow Monkey drinkers: try it that way -- LOVELY!) and wait for the big reveal. No time to sleep on it, so I'll let it go and enjoy the view from the ship this week. That is, of course, only if some tsunami of inspiration does not strike before the witching hour.... Yea, right, like that ever happens... Good to see many of you in the Zoom gallery!

Ashore!
Might be one of the best metas in recent memory. Not entirely confident that what I submitted is a perfect match to the answer clue but I'm going with it.

I whistled while I worked and am now ashore. It's definitely, positively right. I think.

Wow! This is a great one. Firmly ashore after a well-spent day with Isaac.TMart wrote: Sun Jul 19, 2020 2:07 pm I’ve got some good ideas about what to do, but no solid answers yet. Did the grid on Thursday and put it down until today. This was apparently the wrong week to wait until Sunday!

On the ship drinking my Pinot Noir (it’s very hot!) at cellar temp with my right hand.
Think I am going down the tubes on this one. I can’t even get a toehold.
Stay well all

Currently lost at sea. i have some ideas, but they lead nowhere. I’ll keep looking at it, but methinks this will be a Hail Mary week.

I am getting to work on it a bit earlier than most Sundays, but with the difficulty level on this one, I'm quite concerned I'll be stuck on the ship.
As much money and life as you could want! The two things most human beings would choose above all — the trouble is, humans do have a knack of choosing precisely those things that are worst for them.

I think I'm where I've been many times before. I'm off the ship, for sure, and I'm certain the answer is looking at me, because so many things knit together. But I'm still far from shore and gulping CH2O. Might be a good time to call the Coast Guard.
For nudges, feel free to PM me. I won't have a clue how to help you, but you might shove me ashore.

Not only am I physically on the unsalted shores of Lake Michigan, I am now meta-physically on shore with a nice Riesling.
I had steps one and two but couldn't seem to do anything with them. For some reason, once someone confirmed I was indeed facing shore, things almost immediately clicked. Well, I'm 80% sure that they clicked.

OK Bob, you’ve opened the door to bragging rights! My avatar shows me teeing off on Hole 6 (Juniper) at Augusta National 2004, about 2 weeks after the masters. It didn’t cost me a penny and this was my only par. Par 3 course in the morning, luncheon in the clubhouse, and my pretend ‘Masters’ in the afternoon. Members tees, of course. Classic example of right place, right time.Bob cruise director wrote: Sun Jul 19, 2020 3:39 pmYour avatar made me jealous. “Fairways & Greens” to you for tomorrow - stay cool and drink like a fish (water of course!)
