Thank you I appreciate it! Still with the in-laws but thankful for them being 3 mins away and that, although very inconvenient, this is something that can be fixed.

mommyX4 wrote: Fri May 09, 2025 9:17 am tough grid again so didn’t finish but ashore! Having a rough week so definitely opening a bottle of sauvignon blanc tonight :? (we had a pool put in and the guys ran over our wellhead so we’re out of water).

Wishing a Happy Mother’s Day weekend to all the muggle moms!
I wanted "Like" the fact that you made it to shore and to acknowledge your plight and "Thumbs Up" did not seem an appropriate response to your being out of water.
I will just say "Bless your heart" (in the sincere, sympathetic context and tone of voice; not the "Bless their hearts; they don't know any better than to act that way" sense.
I know that people that aren't "from around here" sometimes think that that phrase is always meant to be a veiled insult, but it's really not. It depends entirely on the situation.

I’ll take a pink wine, no bubbles. Seems rather beachy.

And the hated Yanquis are losing too. A good day for all
Yup. We need some nudges.

Why are you people not watching a real sport? The Stanley Cup playoffs are on!
I don't have anything clever to say, but if I did, it would go here.

Finished grid Thursday, then nothing.
Friends came over Friday from out of town and bourbon and martinis ensued. Memory foggy.
Woke up this morning and had DOH! moment over coffee.
Safely ashore.

Happy Mothers Day to all that qualify or have one.
To the rest of you: ACK! you're aliens! Run!!!!

Cruise Director Bob: Glad you enjoyed yesterday's Yankee game. I still enjoyed looking at the standings this morning.

Ashore. Late to the game, but it was the usual sudden "Aha" moment.

There is overthinking...and then there is whatever I did which is makes overthinking look like the decision to buy some Skittles off the candy rack when you're in the checkout line at the grocery store.

Mercy!

Thanks for the encouragement from a previous commenter (not directed at me but it was still encouraging) and I wish you all a good rest of the weekend!

Probably a beer tonight for me since smoking ribs for the various mothers in my life.

Cheers to all. And man am I glad to have this one in the bag!

Happy Mother's Day

I thought I had posted the status but I don't see it so it must have been another senior moment. For the nonseniors, don't worry senior moments are genetic. They are brought on by your kids.

The good news is that we have 3 on the ship and 215 on the shore.

And don't forget the 8 pm Last Call zoom session tonight.

Hello, you wonderful people! I am pretty new to metas and very new to this community. Y'all seem delightful!

I am so excited to have cracked the meta this weekend! From context clues, I guess this means I made it to shore?

Happy Mother's Day my fellow mamas!🌻 I went to a fancy brunch buffet but overindulged, but at least all the time I'm spending dealing with my guts helped me discover the meta. 😅

Quick trip to shore this week. Puzzle much harder than meta.

First welcome our newest muggle @sugajimin. It is always great to have more muggles.

Our final count is 3 on the ship and 219 on the shore. Good luck to everyone winning the mug and have a great week
