Onshore! MrsD and I each saw half of the path, at basically the same moment.

On shore without tears. I was expecting more gnashing of teeth.

Late start, but in the sand! Had to go to the RMV to renew driver's license... there was a line.

Ashore. This leaves plenty of time for the important questions. Like, "Will Patrick Berry have a puzzle in Saturday's Journal?" -- sure hope so.

Oops forgot about this.

Peloponnesier meta than grid.

I'll..... take a shot of tequila with sugar coated lime wedges on the side.

The grid was tough and required a bit of research but then it was a quick swim to shore.
If there is anyone out there that knew a particularly obscure (at least to me) entry, I want to know who they are.
Actually, there were two that I couldn't fathom, but in totally different categories.

I can now start working on the meta. I finished the grid before supper and quality time. While watching a Sherlock Holmes mystery from 1942, I realized that we failed to include a different instrument for @The XWord Rabbit - The Hammer Dulcimer

Now back to my mission

And 11 minutes later, I am on the shore.

Another kids' baseball game today. Alas, didn't go as well as last week. But I am now ashore.

I see that you are in the Greater Pittsburgh area. I will be Cranberry Township the last weekend of June, but will be busy at the event venue the whole time we are there.

Ashore. After taking a break earlier, I immediately saw the channel to shore when I took another look. Another gem from Patrick.
