Since tomorrow is Star Wars day, that picture reminds me that Chewbacca was named "Wookie of the Year."

Someone said marimbas? That calls for Reg Kehoe and his Marimba Queens. Hershey, PA: represent! I'm pretty sure Frank DiNunzio, Sr there is the original rock bassist.

There's room to argue which instruments or unpopular or which music is popular, but I'll submit OK Go playing a Chevy Sonic, some old beat-up instruments and random garbage:

I love these guys.

Performance at Royal Albert Hall, packed with 6,000 fans - 1,000 of whom brought their own ukuleles with, performing Ode to Joy. After a brief introduction, the music begins at about the 2:00 mark.

Just returned from a week long business trip and turned first to the puzzle. I was concerned, as I only had a day to solve; but, then, happily, I landed on the shore. I suspect we are being prepped for a very challenging meta coming up soon! Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Good Sunday morning muggles

If you have not watched the songs being offered as homage to the @The XWord Rabbit they will bring tears to your eyes. We had to watch the monks several times to get all the action - jumping monks, toes flipping words and more. And the ukuleles. viewtopic.php?t=3619&start=300#p203864. Thank you @Cindy N for making our day.

Since you have plenty of time today, do the SSS Words of Encouragement by @DrTom

We have 249 on the shore which is great but a long way from the record of 290 which occurred on July 1, 2022. The title was Cover Band by Matt Gaffney. WSJ had 3556 entries

Getting to shore since yesterday are

Sleepy
Byrdy
Ben B and son
Aaron
Drew and Kasia
mommyX4
KscX
Richard
Olof
Pelicanz
TheCatt
Jarrod
foiledthrice
cashk
bolson51
martimeryard
Susan G

And don't forget the Last Call zoom session tonight at 8 pm ET

And then we have Amazing Grace played on an Alphorn (which was in a grid some time in the past)

I guess that the Swiss came up with the alphorn during their long winter nights.

or a different song

Ashore! I had a busy weekend going to my sister's wedding; I only really started today.

But can you haul 4X8 sheets of plywood or go to the dump in that spiffy car?
Yes, that will be a problem!
That's a welcome problem!

I’ve had this largest amaryllis bulb for years! The other two are descendants. For awhile I went through the steps to try to force the bloom at Christmas, but lately have just let it follow its own cycle. Now’s the time!

With a very quiet Last Call zoom session (4 participants all of who had solved) the tenders have closed up shop. We end the week with 252 on the shore. Thus there will be long odd for being selected this week.

Good luck to all in beating the odds and have a good week.
