On the eighteenth of April, in twenty-five

and they are ready to solve the meta

This week's contest is titled THE DRIVE TO SUCCEED by Matt Gaffney.

The answer to this week’s contest crossword is something golfers occasionally experience during a round. (editorial comment - if the answer is a three putt or slice, Matt is in deep trouble)

Last thing. If you missed it because of the opening SNAFU, our fourth New England Muggle Meetup is officially set for Thursday June 26 at the historic Colonial Inn in Concord MA - in the center of town just walking distance from the North Bridge. Our Captain has set up a topic on the Acapulco Lounge at NE Muggle Meetup June 26, 2025 with information. We welcome all to our get together including eyerolling spouses/friends or those who are in the general area for the history.

P.S. Note that we as a group have just gone past 100,000 postings on the WSJ topic for the forum and closing in rapidly on 200,000 for all the topics. A remarkable milestone and a credit to all muggles.

Pretty sure I'm on the shore! I'll have an Arnold Palmer (wait, that was a different meta).

Edit: The comments nagged at me, so I took a second glance. I see it now, slapped myself, and laughed out loud, so we'll call that a win.
