Good Saturday morning muggles
Another solvable WSJ contest even for those of us who are not movie aficionados. We have 211 on the crowded shore with others coming with each tender.

Before we get to the list of our shore crowd, if any muggles are running Boston on April 21, I will be watching it and cheering for our muggle family. If you PM me your bib number, I would be more than happy to post your split times here on the forum. And remember, no matter what your times are, they are much faster than the rest of us.

On the shore are:

Made it to the beach this morning. Kasia had the answer before we finished the grid!

Ashore. Answer seemed too parcheesi, so I asked for a nudge - and found out it really was that easy.

Celebrating the amazing achievement of Alex Ovechkin who scored 2 goals to tie Wayne Gretzky for the all time NHL record. Was a great experience for us to be at the game.

Ashore. Spent the week in Madrid. Got a late start but "figured it out". Still fasting for Lent, but picked up a bottle at Duty Free from the Ribera del Duero region to enjoy after Easter. No Tariff on this import :-)

Ashore! I’ll never make page one. I am tickled enough to have solved the meta mere minutes after I finished the grid. Fun!

I’m on the beach! I figured it out about halfway through because reasons, and used it to help me solve some of the other clues. Heh.

Is now when we choose a drink? I’ll take a beer, thanks!

@3rdOf4 As a muggle, you can have a drink any time that you want one.

Waited to libate until tonight and tried two very yummy new-to-me boozes:
  • Gunpowder Irish Gin Exceptionally juniper forward, which tends to hit me the wrong way, but very delicious. Just a splash of tonic water, but I'd think it would mix beautifully.
Image

  • Basil Hayden Dark Rye Again with a splash of water just to open it and let its aromatics bloom. Ton of flavor. Almost spicy. Typical Basil Hayden smoothness.
