Good Saturday morning muggles

We are going to start rationing shore space because of the throng of 223 muggles trying to find places for their towels. Because Isaac has only one muggle at this time, he has started loading the tenders with supplies and bartenders to open three more tiki bars on the beach. Volunteers will be needed to unload the tenders when they get to the beach.

Our potential volunteers who are on the beach are:

I have always loved the design of the Tiffany Counterbalance Floor Lamp with Spade Feet but could never bring myself to spend what they usually sell for.

It was a "tense situaltion," but I finally came upon one that was in a sorry state but a good price. I restored the patina using the original Tiffany process and made other necessary repairs.

Now Cynthia and I can enjoy this piece everyday! The auriel shade is of the period but not a Tiffany. It works with the base, but, perhaps someday.....

I've been tied up on a project for a few weeks, but have scheduled a platelet donation for Monday, 7 AM.

I used to be able to donate triples every two weeks or so, but have been demoted to doubles for the last couple of years.. I will try to bring my laptop and work during the time on the needle.

Been donating blood since they removed the restriction on Brits - apparently we all had mad cow disease!
My first platelet session, however, is on Monday. As one of the world’s slowest readers, I am looking forward to making a dent in The Splendid And The Vile by Erik Larson… gripping account of Churchill and the Battle of Britain. One heck of a ‘tense situation’ that should (hopefully) keep me awake!
