This week's WSJ Contest is titled "ETON MUST CHANGE" by Matt Gaffney.

The answer to this week’s contest crossword is a famous name.

Good luck with the grid and the meta

Also anyone in the LA area, stay safe from the fires. If there is anything we can do, please let us know.

As you may have seen in the discussion between @Joe Ross and @benchen71, Scheduling new postings, we are looking to implement a new capability where people posting can schedule a post for a later time. This will be invaluable for those posting new metas like the SSS, MMM, etc. We are working to fully understand the capabilities and possible limitations of this feature. This post was created yesterday and scheduled for 4:02 PM ET today.

On shore also.

Wasn't 100% but saw something after submitting that has me there more confidently! (Beats the alternative).

Stay safe and warm, Muggles!

Ashore! I think ...
Edit: Now I know I'm ashore, thank you Ship4U for the encouragement to keep paddling...

I think I'm ashore!

Feeling increasingly confident as time passes. A rare case where I was both able to start at 4, and also where my first thought panned out. Celebrating my first page 1 appearance!

On the beach! Make mine a 50/50 mint and chocolate milkshake -- mint is this year's official flavor at the Pennsylvania Farm Show!

I'm on the tentative shore, waiting for the announcement that it's just a pageant after all.

Update: If you haven't seen my later post(s), you should strike "tentative" from the above; I am now confidently on a nice beach.

Bespoke nudges available upon request (if I'm on shore, off the couch, in the castle, petting an un-bagged cat, ...).
Let me know how small or large a hint you want, or hit me with a specific question(s).

Got it. It's great when your first idea (rather than your 571st idea) is the right one.
