Finally ashore. As a Brit, found this one quite hard. (I’ll have another excuse next week.)

Finally saw the metanism. Had a little hiccup trying to backsolve one part. Duh, not aha, moment.

Still nice to be on the beach. Closing up the cabin this weekend, getting ready for island hibernation.

Timeline:
- Thursday, 8pm. Hangin' with Isaac, eating stale Chex mix, watching 'you uns' (my new favorite phrase, thanks @HeadinHome ) cavort on a beach we have no idea how to reach. Some thoughts, but going no where.
- Friday, noon. Still got nuttin. Thinking "yet another Gaffney puzzle we can't solve. Argh!"
- Saturday 0130 AM. Wake up with the solution, head downstairs and solve, slip ashore when no one's watching so we're here too!

Celebrating with some fall drink using my new housemade Allspice Dram.

Cheers and a safe weekend to all of you uns. :-)

Ashore.
Meta buddy @Bob cruise director and I shared the oars getting us to shore on this one.
Fun one.
42A brought to mind my Daddy, who was the president of the Maine State Archery Association for many years.
Lifetime hobby for him and it brought us deer meat for our table every year.

FINALLY
turns out I was on the right path all along but walking the wrong direction for two days after the path ended in wilderness 🙄
when I finally thought “wait, what if I go the other way” I had the answer in 30 seconds 🍻

Long, inelegant effort but confidently on dry land.

Ashore! I had gotten stuck and gone to bed but then my daughter called and I did listen to her stories but I also managed to get over the line after hanging up with her! Phew!

I got a new hip joint Thursday morning, so it took me awhile to start on the puzzle. Climbed ashore this morning with my walker!

Rats! I am just not seeing anything this week.
I’m going to call myself on the ship for the duration and await the reveal. 🛥️
