OTC. From my first look I knew there was something but it took me a while to figure out exactly what it was.

Thanks, Cap'n!

Wednesday Nudges

I have to work in the morning, so let me release the nudges a tad early.

Got there, but I needed that second nudge. I spent way too much time trying to include it. And quite a number of rabbit trails that just didn't quite yield enough letters.

Didn’t see it til I did. Love the “aha” moment a well constructed puzzle like this one can give!

Also nudged off the couch. I was 100% looking for the wrong thing prior to the nudges. Excellent meta Cap'n! Loved it
If you see me on the beach, feel free to pm for a nudge. After all the help I’ve got, I am happy to send it forward when I can!

Now that the nudges are done, I'd be curious if anyone has any idea why this one seemed (subjectively for me) so much harder for me to apply the standard mechanism-- one of Cap'n Rick's favorite to this one than to other ones. [I did get it in the end with no nudges and help but I did spend a measurable amount of time staring at a wall--- more so than seems warranted in hindsight then again, Cap'n Rick is excellent at the subtle but clear cluing]

Very good puzzle.

Off the couch without the nudges. Even without the by-line, I wculd probably have identified this as a Cap'n Rick. The ensemble of grid, and mechanism had that trademark.
