Ashore!
That was clever and it makes me feel clever to have solved it.
Thank you, Mr. Gaffney!

I am on shore in the correct country. The last step took a lot longer than it should have, but I got there.

By Jove!!! I believe that I’m ashore and this one feels particularly satisfying. Wow. I’ll take a rye Old Fashioned

Sophie went back to studying for a while so I came back to study this again and while I was flipping back and forth between the grid and what I'd written down it finally fell into place.
Ashore! Water for now while we wait for the celebration. I'll save something stronger for later.

Ashore! An enjoyable one. Whiskey, splash of water.

Solved, but I had help. My excuse is that I've had Covid and am now in the midst of Paxlovid rebound.

On shore! The grid was hard, but the meta was really fun. Amazing construct.

Ashore! Got the grid this morning and quickly figured out the first step. Went down a couple of rabbit trails and stepped away to workout and run errands. Took another look and it all fell into place.

Still at sea trying to get to shore. Found what is certainly the first step, but have not had any luck figuring out where to take it from there.
Always happy to provide a nudge if I’m ashore.

Ashore! Got the first step fairly quickly but needed a nudge to complete the solve. Enjoyed some hard cider today at the Apple orchard with my favorite fall buddy

Sicily is the gem of the Mediterranean. One of the most underrated places to go in Italy: great food, great beaches, great people and great scenery. Good for you, I am jealous

Finally have time to get to the crossword. On the beach! Grid was tough. Meta was genius.
