MEOW #190 Fill In the Blanks

A weekly meta crossword on the forum started by member Josh (aka madhatter5). These puzzles are often very creative with solving mechanisms out of the norm and skewing towards the more challenging. Puzzles are posted every Wednesday, and the solution appears the following Tuesday.

I'm trying to decide on my favorite clue from this week's puzzle and it's a toss-up among 36D, 50A, and of course 36A.
I always love to hear what people's favorites were. I liked 1D myself.

Thanks for solving

NUDGES:

Do you see anything in the puzzle that could be interpreted as a "blank".

They may be part of a more than one word entry

I try to be symmetric if I can.

What might "fill" those blanks.

I am anal enough that I would want them filled COMPLETELY.

Now what? Well you've got new terms now, what is the usual thing to do?

You have to find 4 letters.

Muggles!

I will be traveling and probably won't be on the site for a few days. I can still respond by phone if I am PMed, but my phone savvy is pretty limited. Joe Ross will be posting the reveal on Tuesday and the new puzzle Wednesday.

If you have an urgent question PM me.
