So I'm doing the grid and I get the meta and figure "Okay, they won't get much easier then this.... unless there's a step two..."
Of course there is a step 2. Classic TV I do know. But from step 1???? Could be anything or nothing.
Totally on the ship.

Deja vu! I swear we’ve seen this exact puzzle before …. I knew the answer as if it just “came back to me.” Is it just me?

After a few weeks at the bar, I'm on shore. Looking crowded already.

I've got an answer that is a 21% with a major weakness.... And an 16%er.
So I'm assuming that isn't those but...?HUH?
EDIT: Oh! NOW I get it! It was my 21% but... I needed a stronger reason for it. ... And I just figured what it was. An 87.3%er I'd say.

I wasn't sure of my first answer, though I could justify it, and then thought of another answer which I realized (after a little backsolving) had to be right and 100%.

As someone who is totally unaware of TV shows, this one is rife with an opportunity for pageanting.

Afraid I may be a bit on the young end for this one. Got pulled ashore by @Wendy Walker but I have never heard of this show! I'll have a Guinness now....

Just going to call myself ASHORE! with a reasonable answer and be done since I'm traveling and on vacation.
Here's me with my daughter and one of my "grand-daughters," at our "digs" in Joshua Tree.

Ashore, finally, breaking a two-week losing streak. Delayed by (1) a big mistake in the SW corner and (2) failed to take one more step, so I stared a long time at my answer, which I had never heard of, then I went 1A, confirmed, and solved. Fantastic and hunorous META from Matt!
Since the calendar still reads October, I'll have another festbier. Pulling for a Rangers victory tonight.

Good luck to all for a successful solve. If you see that I'm ashore - rare occasion of late - message me if you'd like a nudge. Be sure to include your progress so I can know better how to assist.

Ashore!
(and Good Luck to anyone trying to give a nudge on this one without giving away the "whole show.")

Submitted and 88.7% sure. So I'll have a gin and tonic that 88.7% tonic. If I'm wrong, I'll just have the gin.

on the boat, at the bar, enjoying the company
I have part 1, I'm looking for part 2, and have a very strong guess if that turns out to be needed, but need something to justify it.
EDIT: my guess is justified, on the beach.
