If you live on the West Coach you should not schedule appointments for Thursday afternoon.

On the beach after a very late start.

After weeks and weeks in the water I am ashore (and somehow it was easy this time!) I guess I’ll break down and have a cocktail.

Ashore4us. We got caught in some tall grass and slogged about for a while. A Smithwick's Red Ale please and some Kerrygold Irish Cheddar on crackers to accompany.

On the shore although I am always suspicious of our good friend Matt.🫣

Didn't you all read the sign? This beach is for Couples Only! Oh. You all solved the meta as well? Please excuse my rudeness. I'll shuffle off to the back of the beach to make room for everyone else.

Ashore! This one was [meta answer from 3/11/22]!

As of this week I have completed every WSJ meta published in the last three years! I even make it a priority to complete it while on vacation. When I started in late May of 2020, I wasn’t great at this. My successful solve rate for 2020 was 67% (yes,I keep a spreadsheet... I’m a data analyst during the day). I’ve learned a lot over the years, especially from this community (see the “Come Aboard” section if you are new!) and am proud to say that so far this year I have a 95% solve rate - all solo solves (I missed the one meta where the answer was ACTOR). I am really glad I stuck with his hobby. It is such a rewarding feeling to solve the meta!

Ashore, martini please! Shaken, not stirred. (as 007 would have it).
"He stalks the capitalist deserts, he is an identifiable antagonist, sustained by capital and kept in good heart by the charms of a materialist society ... takes us away from moral doubt, banishes perplexity with action, morality with duty." (as John le Carre would put it).
Bravo for another superb Gaffney meta puzzle (as decadent Americans would have it).
