Ashore, but once again, I'm going to double check on Monday to make sure I have the _exact_ right answer.

I’m with all the doubters. Got off to a late start today (cases, again!!!) and saw what I needed to see right away but one could think of other rabbit holes. I know we all fear a PAGEANT and it makes me gun shy. The answer I have fits I just don’t feel that click.

I'm on shore in the figurative sense, but not on the body of water that's the answer.
I don't believe this puzzle is trickier than it appears.

Good, then I'll stop trying to force an answer out of what I have and just dive in.

Well, I'm certainly a doubter.

On the one hand my answer is completely valid and defendible and it'd be impossible and unethical to say it isn't a correct answer. (Sure there might be a cleverer and better answer but you can't say an answer is wrong unless it is missing something and if an answer has everything necessary it is not fair to say it is wrong just because the maker wants another answer.)

But on the other hand my answer is incredibly lame and no self-respecting meta creator would consent to such a weak puzzle ... unless a deadline was looming... or other matters came up and it was time to phone it in or ....

Can I run my answer by someone?

EDIT: On the third hand there's a pretty nice big rabbit hole slapping me across the face to distract from the "weak" answer so maybe that's supposed to make the weak answer harder to see.

GUAVA is not an anagram of VAGUE and PEPPER is not a palindrome.

I'm on the shore of a body of water. But is is pageant water or bowl games water? Hmm.
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

After a very late start, I seem to have been washed ashore as I was doing the puzzle! So, assuming I have no second thoughts, I shall go ahead and submit what would seem to be the obvious answer … 🤨.

On Naboo. But only after swimming the cavernous tunnels of the Abyss and fighting off a few colo clawfish and sando aqua monsters. Maybe went too deep on this one.

Ashore! Not sure what other muggles experienced but I found the grid took more time to solve than the meta! G&T please!
