I am ashore! it has been a WHIle since I have musTEred up a streak of 4 solves. I needed a QUIck solve this week, since we have been caLLED up for babysitting duty and are sure to be BUsy this weekend. Actually, we volunteered to STAy with the little guy in oRDer to give his folks a babymoon before number 2 arrives in a month. Someone on this forum mentioned doing that a while back and that is what inspired us to do the same. I'll have a Blue Moon.

Happy puzzling to all the muggles who are participating in the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament this weekend, in person or virtually.

AND good luck to awesome Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes at the Final Four! ESPN, Friday 9:30 pm (ET)

Ashore! I had quite the rabbit hole going and then saw the answer. Happy I decided to sit on it for awhile and that I’m back on Mikes wavelength.

Ashore….on Page 5 no less. Woohoo! That’s my best finish position ever. After 4 solves in a row I’d like to say I’m finally getting the hang of these metas but I don’t want to get too far ahead of myself.

I was trying too hard and got stuck; checked here to see how people were doing. Based on the quick loading of the beach I looked again for an easier idea and there it was. I was in the ballpark but one derivative away from the correct method.

woodford reserve, with just a dash of ginger syrup, rocks svp!

(I have my reasons.)

🏖️
I’m on shore and sending speedy solving vibes to all muggles who are going to ACPT this weekend. 🤞
Hope you’ll tell us how it goes.
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

I finally got time to work on the meta after supper and quality time with my wife.

A quick swim to shore.
