Wow, what a fun puzzle. Thanks to the zoomers I'm ashore and enjoying a nice chilled sauvignon blanc. It is always fun seeing how great minds work and fun to see the zoom group. boy was I off base on this one. No mug for me this week but I'm keeping fingers crossed that one of you gets it. Enjoy the weekend.

I haven't solved it yet, but I see a couple of things, and I already love it.

We are always happy to get to know other muggles and help in any way! PM's are always welcome. The next best thing to winning a mug is helping a fellow muggle win a mug!

Got a late start on this, but caught on soon enough.
Very impressive one from Gaffney.

Got it! Major props if you got on page one for this one.

And I guess I'm allowed to quote myself, haha. Another Gaffney masterpiece!

Ashore! Just when I think I’m onto something, turns out I’m just between steps. Many steps. Great puzzle Mr. Gaffney!

Grid done and making great progress on the meta: already five ninths solved!

Ahoy, Isaac!
For nudges, feel free to PM me. I won't have a clue how to help you, but you might shove me ashore.

On shore. I’m usually kinda slow with this type of meta, but had some luck today once something jumped out. Last week I could have actually gone to a real shore in Florida but this week, I’m in cold Pennsylvania.

Followed the siren voice of Christina Aguilera to the beach.

XOXO,she's so sweet.

Great classic Gaffney to amp your mojo and boogie to shore!

Finally on the shore. I saw step 1, the zoom crowd provided step 2, a fellow muggle saw step three, and I found step 4. (I might not have counted all the steps.) To quote @CAe39, whew.

I missed the zoom but I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF!! for persevering. Multiple great theories failed to yield anything (i have four or five good ideas for metas if anyone wants to buy them, and may be in contention for the rabbit hole award). Finally after staring and staring and resisting the urge to solicit a nudge, I just SAW it! of COURSE! That’s IT! What fun to finally see the light. A very rewarding solve.

For this I’ll take a margarita, a Guinness, and maybe an old fashioned in between, garçon!

I am finally ashore after spending literally hours on the meta, and I am in the minority in that I did not love this one but only because I thought the grid fill was too clunky. Nevertheless, kudos to Matt for quite the challenge!

Reporting on shore.

I see that there are 9 pages already. Guess I have my weekend reading. Though Gaffney's week 4 arrives in 14.5 hours...
